The ultra-passive cooling system is operated solely with commercially available ice, cooling packs or dry ice. Without a compressor or absorber, the double-walled and cavity-insulated kx50 keeps ice cool for up to 12 days!

Unbeatable advantage: The interior of the kx50 is designed so that with a volume of 50 l, up to 70 x 0.33 l cans or 20 x 1 l bottles can be stored and transported upright. Freshly caught fish or provisions you've brought along will also find their ideal storage place in your Petromax cool box.

A cooling system with format
The insulation layer of the Petromax cool box of at least 45 mm guarantees you the longest possible temperature resistance on the inside during outdoor use. But that's not all: the robust PE body is so stable that you can easily use the box as an elevated seat or standing area. This allows you to cast your fishing line comfortably or get an overview of your surroundings. In addition, thanks to its design with clear edges, the kx50 is easy to stack and stow in a cargo area or below deck. Refilling ice and subsequently cleaning the interior is made easier by the integrated drainage system. This allows you to drain meltwater at any time – especially during use. This is how you extend the cooling duration according to your needs.

Adventure-ready handling
Especially when cooking outdoors and using equipment in nature, the demands on reliable gear are high. In addition to extremely long temperature stability, there are other features that distinguish the Petromax cool box as adventure-ready: recesses on the lid allow for cross-lashing. This allows you to stow your kx50 securely for transport on the deck of your boat or on the loading area of your pick-up truck. The side ergonomic carrying handles can also be used as strap guides, which allows you to open the box while it is secured. The non-slip rubber latches can be operated with one hand and you have a firm grip on them even with wet fingers. You can further secure your supplies against wild animals using reinforced locking plates and in combination with a standard padlock. The four rubber feet on the bottom of the cool box ensure a firm stance and additional air circulation from below.

Correct use of the cool box
• Cool down the cool box before use in a cold room or with ice
• Only fill with pre-cooled drinks and food
• Ideally, use large blocks of ice in one piece
• Always place dry ice, cooling packs or ice on top, as cold sinks downwards
• Conscious and economical opening
• Keep the box in a cool, shady place when on the move and
  avoid direct sunlight
• Store and transport in an upright position
