About Peltonen Knives
Finland has a unique knife culture and strong traditions in knife manufacturing. Finnish knife makers are rare, as the craft requires special manual skills and a deep understanding, especially in the handling of carbon steel. The sheath is half the knife
Great attention has been paid to the design of Peltonen knife sheaths. J-P Peltonen designed them to be durable, versatile, and safe. Crafted in the traditional Finnish style, the knife's leather sheath represents genuine Nordic craftsmanship. Kydex is used as a secondary material, which is equally durable, lightweight, and easy to maintain, and is available in various colors and camouflage patterns.

Uncoated represents the classic Finnish blade finish, valued for its authenticity. The blade has black sides and is made of non-stainless steel, thus requiring the most care to prevent rust and maintain sharpness, but rewards the user with a timeless aesthetic.
