All about Pocket Knife No. 10 Inox
A milestone of French knives. The Tradition N°10 is used for outdoor activities, but also for more demanding tasks such as pruning trees and working with dense materials.
The stainless steel blade measures 10 cm and offers an impeccable cut, as well as good resistance to corrosion. The beechwood handle ensures that the knife sits securely and comfortably in the hand. This knife allows for risk-free work thanks to the Virobloc safety ring, invented by Opinel.
Specifications
Blade length: approx. 10 cm
Blade: Yatagan blade
Steel material: stainless steel
Hardness: 55-57 HRC. Originating from Europe
Safety ring: Virobloc
Handle: Beech
The traditional Opinel blade is called a Yatagan. The shape is inspired by a Turkish saber with a raised tip. The blade is ground to an exclusive, curved profile and guarantees robustness and ease of resharpening.
The Virobloc safety ring was invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel. It is present on all folding knives from model N°06 onwards. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe use), it is now also possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safe transport).
