The first challenge was to find a perfect material for the pages, and Modestone® paper was the very best choice. It is water- and grease-resistant, does not tear easily, and is not eaten by insects.
Modestone® stone paper has another amazing property: you can write on it with an old key or even a cartridge. This allows you to write in tight spaces without using a pen.

- 7,480 gallons of fresh water are saved
- Reduction of CO2 release
- 19.05 kg less water-borne waste
- 107.05 kg of atmospheric emissions are avoided
- 6 million BTUs of energy are not consumed
- 20 trees are not cut down
